A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk emails, but this problem can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound email messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet very intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and next to each one you will find a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking it once more will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got a different one with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with a few clicks if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The hosting account will be managed through our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes using any domain name registered here. To enable the catch-all option for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click the symbol with the same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Deactivating this option can be accomplished in the same manner and will not require more than one click either. If the catch-all feature has already been activated for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or modify any feature automatically.
